Everyone is aware of the fact that if the light of the sun is passed through a Prism, it reflects 7 different colours. The seven colours signify the relation with 7 other planets.

If we dive down to a deeper level, we come to understand that sun as a whole is the fishing point of virtues and qualities of all other planets of our solar system. We can term other planets as the extender form of varied qualities of Sun.

Let us understand :

Jupiter and our Sun

Akin to Jupiter, the Sun enhances intellectuality , benevolence and mercy. Just like JuJupiter, Sun is also a teacher and a priest. In reality both Sun and Jupiter are close friends. The difference is, the Sun is a Satvik planet who relates to brave and darers. On the other hand, Jupiter is a Brahmin class planet, who relates to priests and Scholars. Both are male planets and signify authority at all levels of existence. If horoscope is of a negative shape, Sun in similarity to Jupiter, can be showy, pompus, despotic and Dictator.

Mars and Our Sun

Sun is a kshatriya class planet. He is the king so is continuously in the mode of extending the borders of his Kingdom with his light. In the process he has to fight so many planets. And continuous battling causes anger. But this anger is different as in the case of others Kshatriya class Planet Mars. Son is the king and he knows when to cool down.

On the other hand Mars, who is designated as the commander of the army, harbours anger for longer period of time. Unlike Mars, Sun believes in forgiving because the kings in general give importance to the pride and honour in compare to the victory. Sun cools down his anger in short time. But mass keeps the intention of taking revenge in his mind until the right time turns into his favour.

Moon and Our Sun

It is believed that the male and the female are complementary attributes. As per the Vedic texts , the ArdhaNarishwar form of Lord Shiva and Goddess Paarvati signify as how the masculine and feminine energies are complementary. This is exhibited as feminine energy in male and masculine energy in female. The Sun and the Moon also share some common qualities. Nurturing of children by the sun is a feminine quality of Moon.

On the contrary, Moon protects children from hash worldly traits and readies them to face the evils of the society. This is masculine quality of Sun that inherits in Moon.

Despite of being a haughty king, our Sun holds certain amount of practicality which in truth is the domain of Moon. Basically, it is mean to say that Sun holds some lunar qualities as well.

Mercury and Our Sun

Mercury is called as the Prince among planets and is believed to be the closest and dearest friend of Sun. Mercury harbours intellectuality who is designated as the ‘Divine Messenger' and effects any native on the direction of the father significator planet, Sun. It may be correct to say that Sun cannot Express himself properly without Mercury. Think, if Mercury was not there, then who could communicate the divine messages to us. Mercury is the expanded form of intellectuality and wisdom inherit in the Sun.

Venus and Our Sun

Sun himself is the creator and generator. The Venus is the significator of art and creativity. Still both of them are utter enemy to each other. One is the King himself and the other is the advisor of the queen. One is the powerful king, ‘DhritRashtra' and another is ‘Shakuni', who is always busy traducing his queen ‘Gandhari' against the king. It was basically the crooked diplomacy of Shakuni that caused debilitated mind frame of DhritRashtra which further resulted in collapse of kingdom of Hastinapur. (It is intersting to make a note that Sun reaches its debilitated level in the astro-sign Libra, ruled by Venus).

But one must keep in mind that our Sun accepts the art and creativity in its purest and subtle form. It doesn't mean that Venus cannot act at subtle level. But this is true that Venus‘s creativity solely depends on our Sun.

In the horoscope, Sun rules the house of prograny and Venus rules the house of marital affairs. The balancing and coordination of these two planets is believed to be the foundation of happy married life.

Venus is a Rajsik class planet who has gained the attribution of 'Kingly Lifestyle', comforts and luxuries from the king himself.

Saturn and Our Sun

Vedic texts has described certain as the son of Surya. Saturn is the son of shadow, the first wife of Sun. At the time of his birth Saturn was very weak, pathetic and black coloured and was immediately abandoned and was sent far away by Sun because of his bitter looks.

If one observe from astronomical point of view, Saturn is situated the farthest from Sun (if we exclude the outer planets Neptune, Uranus and Pluto). This attribute of detachment and abundancy that inherited in Saturn was gained from Sun.

Like king doesn't discriminate his subjects and people, Saturn also does not discriminate while presenting the consequences of Karma in front of human beings. Saturn has inherited many attributes of Sun like orthodox, rigidness, conservative fossiled, cruelty etc. from Sun.

As per ancient texts, Shani (Saturn) performed a strict penance to Lord Shiva and won his Grace. Lord Shiva blessed him with the powers akin to Sun and designated him as the Magistrate among planets.

It can be said that Saturn is the contrarious form of sun. Both carries the same objective, but their functionality is in contrast to each other. Both Sun and Saturn desire to purify and brighten the future of all beings. But on one hand Sun's aspiration lives for a shorter period of time and on the contrary Saturn can turn to persecute the native for a very long period in order to purify him to the soul levels.

And if by chance, in a nativity, the energies of these two bitter enemies get combined in a fair cosmic environment, it results in a great success in the life and a bright future.

Rahu, Ketu and Our Sun

Rahu and Ketu are invisible planets. The ultraviolet and infrared rays assimilated in the light generated by sun basically define Rahu and Ketu. These energies are extremely stimulating. Their impact on other planets can escalate or deflate their powers.

Rahu and Ketu are basically the North and South reflections of the shadow of the Moon created by the light of the Sun. They have direct influence on our personalities.

As Sun exhibits our true personality, Rahu exhibits our outer personality which we have perfected during our past few incarnations. And Ketu signifies our inner personality. In simple language it can be understood as, Rahu and Ketu affecting our true personality (Our Sun) make us extrovert or introvert.

Rahu is ultraviolet Ray, the Invisible fraction of the spectrum of light emitted from the Sun, which manifest our self confidence and our creativity in the outer physical world. The exerted negative influence of Rahu over Sun makes us selfish, haughty, over egoistic, over proud, and lunatic.

On the contrary, there are so many similarities to be judged among Ketu and Surya. Sun similar to Ketu can take sensible and judicial decisions. Similar to Ketu or under the influence of Ketu, Sun can provide intense concentration, deep perception and penetrating insight. Ketu receives its piercing heat from the Sun just like Infrared Rays. Ketu is the aggression of that father (Sun) who scolds his children for their welfare only. Ketu is the rigidness of Sun. Ketu is the justice of the Sun which binds the native with his past karmas. Ketu is the true knowledge vested in our Sun.
