NATURE AND CHERACTERASTICS:
Having its symbol an axe it also represents razor or any sharp edged instrument like a blade or knife. This symbolism relates to it's innate character of cutting and penetration.
Peacock is the animal associated to Krittika which according to scriptures represents speed.
Krittika is an impulsive Energy, full of swiftness in actions and reactions both. Uses it carefully to cut away ego and ignorance inflicted with a burning instinct.
Lord Kaartikeya, the commander of the Demigods is the son of Goddess Parvati and is bought up by seven wives of seven sages (SaptRishi). It relates to foster care and nurturing of all types; It relates to the care and nurturing of anything in its young, delicate state; It's interesting to note that Moon reaches its Maximum exaltation in the second pad of this fiery Nakshatra.
Lord Agni Deva, the Fire, is the secondary ruler; Relates to a sense of imminent danger, which leads to secrecy seclusion and hiding as a result; On other hand fire also relates to purification process.
